The "B" stands for "Benefit for All". And our certification comes after years of improving our processes holistically. Here are some examples of projects we’re particularly proud of that were considered during the application process that led to our certification:
🔸 Offering paid parental leave to all staff so that people have equal access to supporting and connecting with their families after a birth – regardless of sex or gender.
🔸 Offering volunteer leave to all staff, so that they can contribute to charitable organisations and initiatives as part of their working day.
🔸 Offering a wellbeing benefit, to encourage staff to engage with initiatives – such as sport, exercise or therapy – that support their mental health in the workplace.
🔸 Erecting the grain silo, significantly reducing our environmental footprint (less delivery emissions and packaging in landfill) and the labour of our brewers (saving their bodies from lifting heavy grain sacks).
🔸 Investing in Carbon Accounting Software – Clima – to help track our environmental impact, and set goals for ongoing improvement across the business.
🔸 Installing solar panels on both our warehouse and brewery locations to generate our own, clean electricity, as well as implementing other technologies such as Frigid to drastically reduce our energy consumption in the first place.
